Our client, a leading financial institution is seeking to recruit a Head of Treasury to join their team.
The selected candidate will be managing the treasury function and have the following responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements whilst also ensuring that the organization has optimum liquidity and liability structure;
- Achieving the target set for cost of funds and actively managing the investment portfolio of the company
- Achieving the budgets set on Treasury with regards to interest income on assets and trading income
- Presenting key reports to the management and related committees
- Maintaining ongoing relationships with third parties, counterparties and other partners
- Developing new profitable product lines within the department
- Managing and leading the team whilst ensuring they are being well trained and personally developed
- Contributing to the strategic development of the company
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 7 years experience in Treasury, Asset Liability Management, Portfolio Management or Asset Management
- Have excellent intrapersonal skills
- Problem solver with a good ability to think critically
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Maltese
Education & Experience
Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Business, or another related field. CFA or equivalent will be considered an asset;
