Our client is one of the largest financial institutions operating within the banking industry. They are currently seeking to recruit a Country Head of International Portfolio within Commercial Banking.

As Country Head of International Portfolio you shall operate from the Commercial Banking unit and you shall lead a team of relationship managers, managing the oversight from a risk perspective as well as formulation of strategy, including client acquisition, portfolio and Risk-Weighted Asset Management and client facing responsibilities. You shall ensure a high quality service is delivered to clients as well as identifying potential business opportunities. The implementation, risk oversight, credit exposure, financial crime and regulatory compliance risk aspects  shall be an essential part of this role, with the ultimate aim of safeguarding the company's interests together with ensuring practices, procedures and client relationships are in line with the company's standards.

The successful candidate shall have a proven track record in management of commercial relationships, ideally from an international perspective. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at different levels in order to build and maintain relationships is a must. For this role, strong communication skills are a must, both written and verbal together with previous experience in managing a team as well as having the presence of mind to take strong decisions. Proficiency in financial crime compliance is required for this role. A tertiary level of education in a related area shall be considered an asset for this role.
