Our client operates in the banking industry and is currently looking to recruit a Chief Risk Officer to join their team of professionals.
Chief Risk Officer
As the Chief Risk Officer you will be reporting to the board of Directors and you will be responsible for Ensuring that the Governance, Risk, Compliance and control frameworks of the Bank are operating effectively. You will need to monitor the implementation of the risk controls required by the frameworks in the banks day to day operations and you will need to establish and maintain corporate governance systems and committee structures and review and confirm investment processes. You will also need to manage the process of drafting policies and procedures, ensure regulatory compliance and keep up to date with the applicable regulatory environment and key regulatory regimes and ensure that the Bank's activities comply with the relevant legislation. In addition you will also need to manage the implementation of all aspects of the risk function including the implementation of processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, monitor and report and record risks. Finally you will need to manage the risk reporting which includes managing the process of developing and maintaining the Bank's risk register.
For this role you will need to have a Tertiary level of education in a related area. You will also need to have at least three to five years working experience in a related area working within risk management and have excellent managerial and team development skills. You shall be highly analytical and capable of producing accurate reports. Excellent communication skills in English is essential for this role.
