A reputable care home is currently seeking to recruit a full-time Nurse Manager to join its expanding team of healthcare professionals. This role is crucial in managing nursing and caregiving services within the home, ensuring high standards of clinical care, regulatory compliance, and staff development. The Nurse Manager will be instrumental in fostering a positive and safe environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of nurses, carers, support workers, and visiting healthcare professionals
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality care in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee day-to-day operations and assume responsibility for floor supervision
- Maintain sufficient staffing levels and appropriate resources for continuous care delivery
- Review and enhance nursing and caregiving policies and procedures
- Propose and implement operational improvements aligned with internal standards
- Monitor clinical performance, conduct audits, and drive quality improvement initiatives
- Serve as a point of contact between medical professionals, residents, families, and management
- Manage incidents, complaints, and emergencies with professionalism and empathy
- Play a key role in motivating, developing, and evaluating staff performance
- Work toward achieving set KPIs in collaboration with senior management
- Lead health promotion initiatives and coordinate staff training with the HR department
- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in care delivery
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Registration issued by the CNM (Malta)
- Demonstrated experience in a senior nursing or leadership position
- In-depth knowledge of care standards and health and safety regulations
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Compassion, patience, and the ability to lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in verbal and written English communication
- Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Effective problem-solving abilities and resilience under pressure
