Data Protection & Administration Manager

Our Client, a leading public sector entity, is looking to recruit a Manager focused on Data Protection and Administration. Reporting directly to the CEO, your duties will include:

  • Monitoring compliance with the GDPR and any other data protection legislation
  • liaise with the Data Protection Officer in informing, advising, and issuing recommendations to the CEO (as the Data Controller) in issues relating to Data Protection
  • Cooperating with the Information and Data Protection Commissioner and other supervisory authorities as necessary in connection with Data Protection matters
  • Being the contact point for data subjects in matters relating to Data Protection
  • Liaising with the DPO and Information Data Protection Commissioner and other supervisory authorities with regards personal data breaches as outlined in the GDPR
  • Managing and supervising the administration function within the Office of the CEO, preparing communications on behalf of the CEO, liaising with the senior management regarding important tasks and deadlines, and drafting and compiling reports and presentations for the CEO

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Able to work on his/her own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Time conscious and quick to act on changing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills in Maltese and English

Education & Experience

  • A recognised qualification at MQF Level 5 or Level 6 in Business Administration and/or Management or a related field of study,
  • A recognised certification in Data Protection/GDPR.
