Shipping Clerk

As a Shipping Clerk you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with existing clients as well as new ones.  Duties will include;

  • Assist with the preparation of quotes
  • Providing logistical solutions to customers
  • Following up on every shipment to ensure on-time delivery
  • Negotiating prices, liaising and coordinating bookings with other Shipping Agents and Shipping Carriers, both locally and international
  • Updating shipment files and archiving accordingly
  • Preparation contribution calculations
  • Chasing of invoices from other service providers

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding / Shipping coupled with a minimum of A'Level Education.
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Maltese
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office 

Skills:

  • Be analytical and meticulous in your approach to work
  • Be sales-oriented, outgoing, determined and able to work on own initiative
  • Able to work with tight deadlines
