Our client an International Insurance company is currently on the lookout for a Senior Accountant with a specialisation in Insurance.
Duties include:
- Review of insurance accounting entries
- Review of general accounting entries
- Preparation and analysis of foreign currency exposure
- Monthly closing of consolidation packages with two shareholders
- Monthly reconciliations between consolidation and accounting packages
- Monthly preparation of Management accounts
- Provide reporting and data as required by other departments
- Follow up on Head Office periodic accounting controls and audits
- Provide guidance to the accounting team
- Recommend and undertake continuous system and process improvements in order to ensure a quality service and improve efficiencies
- Improve and maintain systems, procedures and policies, including, but not limited to, the accounting process, approval and payment of invoices, bank reconciliations and petty cash
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements
- Assist the Head of Accounting in drafting workflows and related accounting schemes for new projects
- Assist in other ad-hoc tasks.
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of local experience in a similar role
- IFRS 17 experience and knowledge is requirement
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
Education & Experience
Fully Qualified through ACCA or similar
