Senior Accountant

Our client, an international retail company is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their team.

Main responsibilities :

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Gather and prepare information for VAT and tax reporting, in collaboration with external specialists.
• Process all incoming and outgoing payments.
• Carry out bank reconciliations.
• Review, process, and settle supplier invoices.
• Maintain prepayment, accrual, and fixed asset records.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for the relevant entities.
• Reconcile inventory balances within the accounting system.
• Support compliance with financial filing obligations, working alongside local experts.
• Liaise with auditors, accounting firms, tax advisors, corporate secretarial providers, and government authorities as required.
• Maintain and reconcile intercompany balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Ensure accounting entries are coded consistently in accordance with the Group chart of accounts.
• Provide periodic financial reports to management.
• Contribute to the implementation of new processes and system integrations.
• Collaborate closely with the finance team to maintain aligned and efficient working practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting; audit experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Education and Experience

• Fully qualified accountant.
