Senior Accountant

Our client within the Pharmaceutical industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team:

Responsibilities:

• Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards
• Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close and year-end close
• Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the IFRS financial statements and related notes
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Research and analyze expense variances for company management
• Preparation of VAT returns and related VAT compliance submissions

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Around 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar role
• In-depth understanding of IFRS and familiarity with IFRS financial statements
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like SAP and Navision
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Big 4 and International Holding Company structure experience is a must

Education & Experience

Fully qualified or in the last stages of ACCA
