Revenue Manager

Our client, a leading player in the hospitality industry, is seeking to recruit a Revenue Manager.


  • Ensuring a consistent and rational hotel pricing and yield strategy across all channels (including OTA) and all market segments according to the CHI core standards;
  • Evaluate and benchmark against competitor pricing, availability, package/ promotional options, and sharing key findings;
  • Effectively use systems (Opera, Opera Sales & Catering, Synxis and IDeaS) to determine, implement, manage and control accurate revenue management strategies;
  • Support the annual revenue budget process;
  • Continually analyse business demands, price sensitivity and booking patterns,
    • recognising trends and provide pricing, inventory and selling strategy recommendations;
  • Proactively manage inventory for the hotel to maximise room revenue;
  • Regularly check distribution channels (GDS, Brand and OTA) for hotel positioning, information accuracy and competitor positioning;
  • Complete and analyse monthly KPS reports and submit to Head Office;
  • Participate in the preparation of MICE/ Group room budgets, with input from Sales;
  • Proactively communicate revenue strategy and targets throughout the hotel;
  • Proactively provide data to the team for the purpose of analysing and evaluating specific business segments, specific accounts, market segment mix, room type demand, channel production and geographical mix, and recognizing trends and patterns;
  • Proactively analyse and communicate business and booking trends to the Revenue Team highlighting comparisons against forecasts, budget, the previous year and the wider market generally;
  • Accurately analyse and track market, geographic, channel, and key account/ agent production, check effectiveness of marketing strategies and performance against budget.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years working in Revenue Management, ideally within a four or five-star hotel;
  • Previous local experience working with Reservations, Front Office, Sales & Marketing/ Events departments;
  • A degree/ postgraduate qualification in a related field such as Business Management, Economics, Finance, Statistics or Hospitality Management would be beneficial;
  • Highly computer literate with a strong command of Excel;
  • Experience with hotel software systems (e.g. Opera, Opera Sales & Catering, Synxis and IDeaS);
  • Strong account management skills;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (additional language an asset);
  • Highly analytical and numerate;
  • Knowledge of online travel agents and how they work.
