Quality & Internal Controls Specialist


Our client, a well know Financial Services Provider is looking to recruit a Quality & Internal Controls Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will report to the Head of Quality & Internal Controls with the following responsibilities:​


  • Monitor and maintain an effective internal controls environment
  • Assist the Quality & Internal Controls Manager in support of implementing internal controls
  • Review, define and document clear procedures across teams
  • Challenge status quo to improve efficiency and quality in ensuring that improvement action plans are delivered by process owners
  • Ensure that the Quality and Internal Controls Manager is updated regularly 
  • Support the Quality & Internal Controls Manager proactively in following- up on implementation of improvement plans
  • Ensure the monthly key controls reporting dashboard is updated 
  • Contribute to the preparation of the dashboard monthly reports on key controls and ensure coordination between those responsible to ensure that the work environment is consistent and that the necessary continuous improvements are made when deficiencies are detected
  • Support the coordination of the internal controls self-assessment process
  • Assist the Quality & Internal Controls Manager in running periodic internal controls testing of this business environment
  • Support Project Management through follow-ups to key milestones and reporting of project exceptions

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Working experience within the Financial industry
  • Analytical with attention to detail
  • Good problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills in English

Education & Experience

A tertiary degree preferably within Banking and Finance
