Management Accountant

  Central Malta  |  €45,000 - €50,000 Annually 

Our client is looking for a Management Accountant to assist the Financial Controller. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting records, reporting routines, and internal control procedures.
  • Lead and support the finance team by handling recruitment, training, task allocation, and performance follow-ups.
  • Deliver accurate monthly financial statements within strict timelines.
  • Develop, monitor, and review key performance indicators to track the unit’s progress.
  • Examine monthly financial outcomes and recommend actions to strengthen performance.
  • Enhance efficiency by improving workflows, strengthening controls, and adopting digital tools
  • Supervise inventory records, ensure accuracy, and follow up on any irregularities.
  • Produce weekly and monthly cash-flow summaries to support financial planning.
  • Coordinate with external auditors by preparing required documentation and assisting throughout the audit process.
  • Handle the preparation and submission of VAT filings every quarter.
  • Manage all annual submissions required by the Malta Business Registry.
  • Provide statistical data to the National Statistics Office when needed.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, industry practices, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous local experience in a similar role

Education and Experience

  • ACCA qualified or in the process to be completed
