Management Accountant

€28,000 - €35,000  |  Malta

A Management Accountant position is currently available with a leading and well-established manufacturing company having a number of reputable international and local brands.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation and issuing of financial reports
  • Preparing accurate management accounts within strict deadlines and in accordance with accounting principles and tax regulations
  • Liaising with management in relation to the preparation of budgets and monitoring performance, including variance analysis and commentaries
  • Providing a support service by working with the respective departments and the management team to assist in critical decision making process
  • Ensuring adherence to budget
  • Controlling inventory and ensuring that appropriate measures are in place
  • Offering professional guidance on financial matters and providing advice on ways of improving business performance as applicable
  • Interpreting and communicating data to non financial managers 
  • Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements to business processes and workflows where needed
  • Actively contributing in the audit process 

Education and Experience

  • You must be a fully qualified Accountant, or in the very final stages of achieving the qualification
  • A minimum of 2 years previous local accounting experience up to management accounts level
  • Previous experience in the local manufacturing industry will be considered a strong asset
  • An understanding of current management information systems
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
