Junior Client Accountant

€22,000 - €28,000  |  Malta

Our client is an international corporate services provider and fund management company. They are presently looking to recruit a Junior Client Accountant to join their team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining company accounting records and preparing periodic management reports
  • Preparing statutory financial statements (in line with GAPSME/IFRS) and working closely with auditors to assist with audit deliverables
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts and their analysis (where applicable) and assisting in their presentation to the board of directors
  • Compiling corporate tax workings and preparing the income tax return for submission
  • Compiling VAT workings and preparing the VAT returns for submission
  • Preparing payments
  • Attending and assisting with the organization of board meetings and shareholders meetings

Education & Experience:

  • In the process of obtaining the ACCA qualification
  • 1-2 years' experience in accounting would be required whilst experience with a CSP would be considered a strong asset
  • Experience with one of the big4 firms would be considered a strong asset

Skills:

  • Fluency in English, any other language will be considered an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Word
  • You have strong organisation skills and meticulous
  • Capable of working within a fast paced environment
