Junior Accountant

  Central Malta  |  €26,000 - €30,000 Annually 

A highly reputable client of ours specialising in the Corporate sector is looking to onboard a Junior Accountant to join their growing team.

Main responsibilities include :

  • Accurately record and maintain financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Handle essential bookkeeping tasks.
  • Process invoices and payments efficiently.
  • Update and manage general ledger entries.
  • Assist with bank statement, credit card, and account reconciliations.
  • Identify and promptly resolve any discrepancies.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in drafting balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for tax filings.
  • Help ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Exhibit a positive attitude with a proactive mindset and strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively independently.
  • Previous experience in a client accounting role will be considered an asset

Education and Experience

  • Hold a qualification in Accountancy or be pursuing ACCA or an equivalent certification.
