Junior Accountant

Our client, a growing iGaming company is looking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join their team. The chosen candidate will gain exposure to various aspects including revenue, postings, treasury, compliance and others.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in reconciling balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all journal entries and adjustments
• Assist in preparing cash flows, understanding variances from plan and identifying the actions needed to manage cash flow in line with the needs of the business
• Ensure all regulatory and statutory returns are completed accurately and on time
• Ensure the inter-company process is managed with invoicing completed accurately and on time in line with Group policy with mismatches resolved within Group time limits.
• Assist in the preparation of revenue workings and timely revenue recognition in line with company policies and accounting standards
• Support in generating invoices and ensuring proper billing processes are followed
• Working with other departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Liaising with auditors in respect of financial audits
• Handle day-to-day finance queries from internal departments and external stakeholders, providing accurate and timely responses
• Assist with supplier invoices’ issues and reconciling supplier statements
• Manage compliance requests from regulators
• Any other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Financial Controller

Requirements

• Previous local experience in a similar role, doing up to trial balance stage
• Knowledge of Navision software
• Fluent in English and Maltese
• Able to take initiative and open for a challenge

Education and Experience

• In possession of AAT or better
