Internal Auditor

Our client within the FMCG industry are looking for an Internal Auditor to join their team

Responsibilities: 

• Design and deliver financial and operating audit programs to address relevant risk and audit assertions
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations by preparing accurate and timely audit reports
• Work closely with control management to drive the action plans
• Assist in Specific Investigations including also those related to Fraudulent cases
• Interpret the significance of audit findings, conclude on findings and make practical recommendations
• Prepare audit reports to document audit scope, procedures, findings and recommendations.
• Assess any new changes to existing processes to identify financial and operational risks before launch and recommend improvements
• Communicate with and educate process owners effectively, including non-finance individuals, on the importance of controls
• Conduct ad-hoc tasks requested by the Audit Committee and Executive Management subject

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Two - Five years of work experience in an internal audit environment
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of the internal audit process and expectations
• The ability to work and thrive in a team-oriented environment and cross-functional collaboration
• Excellent spoken and written Maltese and English communication skills
• Experience in Designing/Testing/Implementing internal controls and reviewing business processes,
• Experience in drafting Policies and Procedures

Education & Experience

• Degree in internal auditing, financial accounting or financial management
• Possess (or willing to achieve) CIA certification
