Head of Finance

Our client is seeking to recruit for a Head of Finance, who will play a critical role in supporting the CEO in overseeing and managing the financial operations and administrative functions of the company. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of activities designed to ensure the effective management and control of financial resources, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the facilitation of efficient office operations.

Duties include: 

• Overall management of the finance function 
• Being responsible for budgeting and forecasting 
• Attending and being active in board meetings  
• Handling financial reporting 
• Managing the financial planning and monitoring its performance 
• Handling the generation of consolidated accounts  
• Reviewing monthly management accounts 
• Being involved in strategic decision making  
• Handling ad-hoc projects 
• Any other duties that may be required for the smooth running of the department 

Requirements

• Have a proven track record in Finance Department managerial roles with at least 8 years’ experience in a Finance management position.
• Proven experience and expertise in financial control and financial reporting
• Have exposure and experience in working in multi-national groups and in multi-cultural environments
• Have a good grasp of local fiscal laws and regulations and laws regulating payroll processing in Malta
• Multi-task and be able to manage different deadlines and priorities and execute all captioned responsibilities in parallel and in a seamless manner
• Experience in the Aviation industry and working with Business Central or Microsoft NAV will be considered as assets.

Education and Experience

• Have a recognised international qualification and warrant to practice as an Accountant
