Head of Finance & Administration

Malta  |  €45,000 - €50,000  

Reporting directly to the Company’s Executive Director, our client in the Retail Industry is seeking to recruit an individual with sound experience in managing, leading, and growing the Company’s Finance Department. As the Head of Finance and Administration, you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities: 

  • Achieve individual and organizational key performance indicators
  • Acts as a catalyst to improve departmental efficiency through automation
  • Monitors capital expenditure in line with agreed operating budgets
  • Ensures successful and timely issuance of payroll through the Company’s payroll clerk
  • Prepares quarterly management accounts and other financial documentation
  • Provides and monitors departmental operating budgets with the department responsible
  • Prepares annual financial statements for external auditing purposes and assists during audit inquiries
  • Maintains a healthy line of communication with other departments and implements rigorous internal controls (costs, expenditure/spending, etc.)
  • Ensures existent data is available and free from errors on the Company’s financial applications
  • Work in compliance with local legislation and timely submission of reports to the pertinent authorities

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • A minimum of four years of local experience in a management position
  • Experience with SAGE and other accounting packages is desirable
  • Organized, performance-oriented, and most importantly a doer that is capable and able to work under tight deadlines

Education & Experience

The chosen candidate is expected to be in possession of an ACCA certification or an equivalent degree in Accounting.
