Group Chief Financial Officer


A Group Chief Financial Officer position is currently available with a leading and long established Group of companies, with diversified operations, mainly in shipping. 


  • Managing, leading, and motivating the finance team 
  • Working closely with the Managing Directors and reporting to the Chairman
  • Handling consolidations and reporting at Group level
  • Leading and directing the financial responsibilities of all of the companies forming part of the Group
  • Driving financial performance and maximising return on investment
  • Providing strategic financial advice and formulating future financial strategies
  • Ensuring that appropriate systems and processes are in place across the Group
  • Handling Group reporting, treasury and cash management, contract management, and project feasibility studies
  • Foreign exchange management and optimising the balance sheet structure
  • Handling financial strategy including budgeting, forecasting, and contributing to the overall strategy 
  • Ensuring that the direction and strategies set by yourself along with the Directors, are implemented and executed
  • Liaising with external auditors, banks, key customers, and suppliers and maintaining strong relationships

Education & Experience:

  • You must be a fully qualified and Warranted Accountant
  • A minimum of 8 years previous local experience in a similar role whilst leading a team is a requirement
  • Being in possession of local VAT legislation knowledge and banking regulations
  • Willing to travel on short business trips
