Group Accountant (Private Aviation)

€30,000 - €35,000  |  Malta

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, the Accountant will form part of a team of finance professionals with overall responsibility for the Group’s accounting and financial reporting activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding the Group’s business with particular emphasis on the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting timeframes, processes, and systems
  • Taking ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting tasks including but not limited to inter-company reconciliations, completeness of accruals and prepayments, ensuring proper cost allocation and capitalization, reviewing and reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts, preparation of financial statements, etc
  • Providing external auditors with documentation, explanations, and analysis as necessary to assist with the smooth execution of annual audits or quarterly reviews

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience, preferably within an international organisation
  • High level of accuracy whilst delivering to tight deadlines
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English

Education & Experience

Have a strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and should be in possession of an accountancy qualification (ACCA or similar)
