Our client within the insurance industry is looking for an experienced professional to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization and manage a small team whilst reporting directly to the board of Directors
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure the financial stability of the organization
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports
- Analyze financial data and make sound decisions to ensure the financial health of the organization
- Monitor cash flow and manage the budget
- Develop and manage financial models to forecast financial performance
- Prepare monthly and yearly financial reports
- Develop and maintain internal control systems
- Prepare and manage the organization’s tax filings
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Manage financial audits
- Provide advice and guidance to management on financial matters
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance,or ACCA qualified ( candidates who don't have qualifications but have more than 10 years experience will also be considered)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
