Financial Controller

Our client, operating within the retail industry is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing financial
guidance, oversight and support to the company's operations. This individual will be also responsible for managing the financial policies, procedures and controls in order to ensure the organization’s financial health and efficient operations. The Financial Controller will provide accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support the organization's strategic goals.

The selected candidate will have the following additional duties:

• Overseeing the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial information
• Managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general
  ledger
• Preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements and reports
• Developing, implementing and maintaining internal financial controls
• Preparing and analyzing budgets and forecasts
• Monitoring cash flow
• Analyzing financial data and identifying trends
• Harnessing commercial opportunities and have a proactive approach in relation to available government grants 
• Monitoring financial performance and recommending areas of improvement
• Preparing and reviewing VAT and tax returns
• Managing relationships with banks and other financial institutions

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role locally
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and written
• Possess a proactive and hands on approach with a 'can do' attitude
• Meticulous with an eye for detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills
