Financial Controller (Libya)

Our client, an established and reputable organisation operating in the hospitality industry, is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team. 

Your responsibilities include;

  • being responsible for all accounting, financial, purchasing and stores functions
  • being responsible for purchasing and stores amongst other tasks
  • enforcing best practices in financial accounting and control procedures to maximise impact and efficiency 
  • assisting and providing guidance in the formulation and implementation of the Hotel's Business Plan, Budget, KPIs, Cash Flows, disbursements, deposits and remittances as well an monthly preparation of management accounts
  • lead the team towards the achievement of goals 
  • ensure that the team is moving in line with established procedures
  • prepare forecasts and budgets as required both locally and by the corporate office and to report on deviations, over expenditure and over budgeting
  • provide expert advice to all stakeholders with the aim of maximising profit

Experience & Qualifications

  • ACCA/ ACA/CIMA or an equivalent degree or diploma
  • minimum 3 years experience as Financial Controller (preferably in the hospitality industry)
  • working knowledge with SUN, Opera MC and Micros Systems
