Finance Officer

Malta

Our client who is a pioneer in the aviation industry is looking for a Finance Officer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Verifying invoices and other applicable accounting documents
  • Verifying suppliers’ and service providers’ accounts by reconciling statements and transactions
  • Ensuring an appropriate level of authorisation and accurate general ledger/cost centre coding 
  • Posting of purchases invoices/ credit notes
  • Issuing of intercompany sales invoices
  • Handling payments in an organised and timely manner within the respective credit terms
  • Posting of petty cash and bank transactions
  • Allocation of payments
  • Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and providing the month end reporting.

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • 2+ years of current experience in a finance department
  • Previous experience using accounting software packages; Sage, Quick Books / MS Dynamics (or equivalent)
  • Methodical and accurate approach to tasks
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Knowledge in business aviation is an asset

Education & Experience

“A” Level in Accounts or Initial stages of ACCA qualification
