Our company operates in the financial services sector. As they are growing, they are seeking to engage a Finance Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Financial record keeping and posting to ledgers
- Bank reconciliations, internal reconciliations, internal controls
- Issuing of invoices to clients for premium
- Payments of invoices for both technical expenses and non-technical expenses
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Maintain, update and monitor the adequacy of technical reserves
- Monitor, in liaison with the appointed actuary, the solvency capital requirement and the minimum capital requirement of the company
- VAT returns and monitoring of Insurance premium taxes
- Assistance in routine internal Group reporting
- Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRSs
- Assist internal and external auditors of the company during their routine audit cycle
- Assist in the preparation and submission of The Solvency and Financial
- Condition Report (SFCR), Regulatory Supervisory Report (RSR)
- Quantitative reporting templates (QRTs), Quarterly National Specific templates (QNSTs) and Annual National Specific templates (ANSTs)
- Preparation of the three year forecasts and cash flows
- Assist in tax forecasts and annual tax return
- Assist in preparation of Board packs
- Other reporting and related tasks
Skill-sets and Requirements
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role
- Have experience leading a team
- Must have an excellent level of Maltese both written and verbal
Education & Experience
Be fully qualified in Accounting or in the last stages of ACCA
