One of our clients, specialising in the Construction sector, is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their team:
Duties:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Completion and submission of VAT and tax returns.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency or improve internal controls.
- Monthly processing of the Works In Progress function relating to all projects.
- Payroll analysis, budgeting, and monitoring of productivity.
- Liaising with external auditors.
- Contribute towards the budget preparation, year-end, forecasts, cash flows, and monthly/weekly departmental meetings.
- Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary companies, especially their control systems and transaction-processing operations.
- Participate in strategy setting with the directors and senior management.
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Must have solid experience working within the construction industry in a Finance Managerial role (this is non negotiable)
- Must be fluent in English, and ideally also in Maltese
- Knowledge of local legislation related to finance, taxation and employment
- Be self-motivated, able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
- MUST have solid experience working within the construction industry in a Finance Managerial role
- Be computer literate and familiar with accounting management software
Education & Experience
Hold a degree or be in the process of achieving a degree in business management with specialization in Accountancy or ACCA qualification
