Finance Executive

Malta  |  €23,000 - €25,000 Annually 

An international company is currently looking to recruit a Finance Executive to join their rapidly growing team. 

Duties include: 

  • Postings into various accounting ledgers (Nominal, Sales and Purchases)
  • Actively involved in the procurement process, including checking correctness of purchase invoices and following up on notices of arrival
  • Raising sales invoices and regularly follow up on receipts from debtors
  • Carry out supplier statements reconciliations and follow up on differences with suppliers 
  • Assist and/or carry out daily cash reconciliations and deposits;
  • Preparation of regular bank, cash and credit card account reconciliations
  • Issuing of payments to suppliers
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Assisting in the preparation and compilation of any ad hoc reports/assignments as directed by management/superior
  • Keeping an up to date and organized filing system
  • Any other duty as required and as directed by Senior Finance Executive

Requirements

  •  Minimum of 2-3 years of local experience in an accounting position
  • Experience in VAT is required, experience in European VAT will be a plus
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Preferably experience in dealing with international businesses
  • Strong command of Google Sheets/MS Excel
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision

Education

  • AAT Diploma Level or similar
