Credit Controller

€25,000 - €30,000   |  Malta

A Credit Controller position is available within a leading local Law Firm 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively managing and collecting debts from company debtors in accordance with agreed terms
  • Resolving and minimizing overdue debts 
  • Maintaining files, records, and journals for overdue debtors 
  • Resolving queries both internally and externally around payments and outstanding invoices
  • Processing payments and reconciliation of invoices
  • Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems
  • Preparing statements, client status reports and other relevant information as required

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a credit control function, preferably in a professional services firm 
  • Be proficient in written and spoken English and Maltese
  • Have excellent IT proficiency, particularly in MS Word and Excel
  • Have good numeracy skills, including the ability to reconcile complex accounts
  • Be able to work well in a team, as well as individually, without supervision
  • Proactive and taking initiative while working under pressure and demonstrating strong attention to detail
  • Be highly organized, self-motivated, and possess excellent communication skills
