Client Accountant

Our client based in Malta is looking for an Client Accountant to join their team.

• Monitoring the books of a portfolio of client accounts;
• Preparing and submitting Tax, VAT, MOSS returns and recap statements;
• Maintaining Client Payrolls in a timely manner;
• Preparing FSS and tax payments;
• Handling queries with both clients and corporate team.
• Preparing ad hoc reports accordingly
• Making sure the proper accounting treatment and posting of all transactions;
• Cooperating the auditors and provide reports and information as required;
• Handling the annual accounts
• Preparing bank reconciliations for the portfolio of clients;
• Working closely with the corporate department and Senior Accountant
• Other duties a necessary to meet the needs of the Employers business

Skill-sets and Requirements

• At least 3 years previous experience in a similar position.
• Excellent communications skills in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to work with deadlines
• Excellent organization skills
• Team-oriented, attention to detail
• Knowledge of Shireburn Indigo Payroll software would be an advantage.

Education & Experience

To be in the mid to latter stages of ACCA or similar accounting qualification
