Assistant Financial Controller

A role has arisen for an Assistant Financial Controller who will report directly to the Group Financial Controller. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support the accountants in their daily duties
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports
• Assist the accountants with budgeting as well as projections
• Assist the Group Financial Controller with preparing bank and statutory compliance reporting
• Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reports
• Perform internal audits
• Ensure compliance to internal control framework
• Maintain and manage the group insurance policies
• Collaborate with ERP coordinator on ERP projects and accounting processes solutions

Skill-sets and Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an Accountant position
• Thorough knowledge of computer / IT systems and programs
• Fluency in English and Maltese
• Able to work well in a team
• Experience in managing a team

Education & Experience

Degree in Accountancy or ACCA Qualification
