An esteemed client of ours, operating in the distribution, retail and supply industry is seeking to recruit an Accounts Payable officer. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Preparing payment proposals, performing payments postings and clearings and verifying and sending remittance notices
- Reconciling suppliers’ statements and reporting any discrepancies
- Building and maintaining a good relationship with suppliers and ensuring their queries are being replied to in a timely manner
- Investigating and resolving problems related to invoices, vendor account balances, and payment proposals;
- Maintaining an organized filing system for accounts payables records
- Assisting with the month end closing and any other duty which may be required from time to time
Requirements
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Education and Experience
- Minimum A level standard of education in Accounts. Candidates who are currently studying ACCA will be given preference
