Accounts Clerk

Malta  |  €18,000 - €20,000 

Our client, a local healthcare importer is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk to join their team.


  • Assisting with accounts and clerical duties within the Finance Department
  • Processing invoices, keeping track of expenses and recording payments
  • Posting all accounting documents up to trial balance on the company's financial system
  • Updating bank accounts including monthly bank reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of creditors' statements with accounting records
  • Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns and other regulatory reporting
  • Assisting in periodic stock taking exercises
  • Chasing debtors
  • Assisting with internal/external audits which take place periodically

Skill-sets and Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role with a good understanding of accruals will be considered an asset
  • Previous experience using an accounting software
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in oral and written English and Maltese
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Candidates who are currently in the process of studying accounting will be given preference

A minimum of an A level in accounting
