Accounting Manager

  Central Malta  |  €35,000 - €37,000 Annually 

A group of companies focusing on hospitality and properties is currently on the lookout for an Accounting Manager to join their team. 

Duties include:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Monitor budgets and cost of sales to ensure optimal financial performance.
  • Manage investment aid applications, including EU funds.
  • Oversee property and motor insurance policies and renewals.
  • Review, suggest, and implement improved internal controls across all departments.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise staff within the accounts department.
  • Liaise with auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports for management and directors.
  • Handle any additional tasks as required by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of local experience in an accounting function
  • Team management skills are considered as an asset
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English

Education and Experience

  • Masters in Accountancy would be considered as an asset but not a requirement
