Our client working within the Retail industry is currently looking for an Accountant to join their growing team.
Duties include:
- Preparing monthly/quarterly financial reports and management accounts
- Preparing KPI reports
- Preparing annual financial budgets, 3-year financial projections and cash flow forecasting
- Preparing annual draft financial statement
- Planning and supporting external auditors in the companies’ financial audit
- Preparing income tax computations, tax payments and other related tax reporting
- Preparing and submitting statutory reporting
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other VAT related declarations
- Assisting in internal audits and ensuring compliance to internal control framework
- Ensuring that stock counting policies are adhered to
- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reports
- Recording fixed assets acquisitions and disposals and investigating fixed assets obsolescence
- Taking accounting ledgers ownership, posting to ledgers and carry out bank and other reconciliations
- Preparing end of month and year-end accounting
- Reviewing and approving payments
- Planning, assigning and reviewing data processors’ work
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year’s of local experience post qualification
- Must be fluent in both written and spoken English
- Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Be organized, methodical and have an eye for detail
Education & Experience
Fully Qualified or in advanced stags of ACCA or equivalent
