Accountant

Our client, an international residency agancy in Malta, is seeking a skilled accountant to join their diverse team on a global scale.

This role will be situated in Malta and involve overseeing our operations in the USA and UK, with direct reporting to the Head of Finance based in Dubai. We require an enthusiastic and industrious individual who is open to a flexible work schedule to accommodate varying time zones.

Responsibilities:

• Review, record, and organize invoice payments
• Manage and prepare monthly commission payments
• Handle contract administration
• Generate invoices
• Monitor, reconcile, verify, and update debtor information
• Prepare and scrutinize accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other pertinent financial reports
• Assess and post accounting adjustments such as accruals and prepayments
• Review and reconcile Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss statements
• Harmonize intercompany balances
• Conduct data analysis and produce reports
• Provide support during audit processes
• Compile, verify, and submit all necessary Statutory Tax documentation
• Support tax audits and facilitate tax return submissions
• Compilation and submission of payroll
• Evaluation of treasury operations and presentation of cash position reports
• Collaborate with external accounting professionals
• Assist the Finance department in Dubai

Skill-sets and Requirements

• 2-5 years of applicable accounting experience, preferably in an international setting;
• Experience within an auditing firm is a plus
• Proficiency in technical accounting and a thorough grasp of financial reporting standards, including IFRS and USGAAP
• Familiarity with local tax regulations, deadlines, and adherence
• Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software (SAP, Tally, Sage, etc.)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong verbal and written English language skills
• Maintain a meticulous attention to detail.

Education & Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Either certified as an accountant or actively pursuing certification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, etc.)
