Accountant (Yachting)

€30,000 - €35,000  |  Malta

An Accountant position is currently available with an international company offering bespoke cruises on luxury yachts, having a small yet growing set up in Malta.


  • Creating purchase invoices
  • Handling month end closing procedures
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the Group
  • Performing balance sheet and profit and loss variance analysis
  • Interacting with external auditors and assisting in the audit accordingly
  • Handling accounts payable tasks
  • Recording transactions and handling journal entries
  • Performing reconciliations of inventory, deposits, VAT, and prepaid accounts
  • Monitoring shipboard deliveries of F&B inventory, technical inventory, fuel, and others, whilst confirming quantities
  • Handling any other accounting duties for the smooth running of the department

Education & Experience:

  • You must be a fully qualified Accountant
  • You must be in possession of a minimum of 2 years previous local accounting experience in a similar industry (cruise, yachting, marine)


  • You must be a motivated individual capable of working on your own initiative and in a small set-up
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English and Maltese is a requirement for the position.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Software will be considered a strong asset
