Accountant ( South of Malta)

Our client within the Pharmaceutical industry is currently looking for an Accountant to join their growing team. 

Duties include:

• Provide accurate, up to date information.
• Preparation of monthly schedules and assistance with the preparation of monthly accounts.
• Assisting the preparation of VAT returns.
• Assisting external auditors.
• Stock reporting and valuation.
• Invoice processing and reconciliations.
• Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers
• Cash book maintenance
• Assisting the preparation of grant claims.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Supervision, monitoring and resolving issues of sales and purchasing support staff.
• Other general accounting and admin duties as required.

Skill-sets and Requirements

• At least 3 years of local experience within an accounting function
• Manufacturing experience would be considered as an asset
• A good understanding of accounting software, ideally experienced with Sage 200, SAP or similar
• Ability to supervise staff and work to deadlines
• Good working experience of Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
• Fluency in both written and spoken English, Arabic would be considered as an asset.

Education & Experience

Partly or Fully Qualified through ACCA or equivalent
