Accountant (South of Malta)

A new job opportunity for an Accountant is now available. Working in a team of three people, you will be reporting to the Head of Finance and your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts and group reporting
  • Monitoring of expenditure against budget
  • Maintaining Financial Controls/ Financial Analysis and Costing Analysis 
  • Liaising of VAT and Tax related matters 
  • Assisting in the preparation of month-end account analysis and performing bank reconciliations 
  • Preparing monthly financial results 
  • Assisting in the audits and department budgets
  • Supporting of month-end general ledger close - preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounts
  • Overseeing the invoicing/payment function 
     

Education and Qualifications

This vacancy requires:

  • Degree in Accountancy 
  • Three years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficient level of English - both written and spoken 
  • Experience with Maltese Local taxation legislation is a major requirement 
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing company 
  • SAP knowledge would be given preference
