Chief Information Officer (Malta)

Our client is an established player in the services industry, offering a unique offering through technology reams. They are now looking to engage the services of a Chief Information Officer to form part of their management team and draw and implement the vision for the technology strategy within the organisation.

Reporting to the CEO, as Chief Information Officer, you will be called to spearhead the Company’s IT strategy and the development of an integrated architecture aimed at supporting the different segments and operations. You will be supervising the development of architecture plans and the setting up of roadmaps for the deployment of the projects. As CIO, you will be responsible for the IT strategy, information integrity and security of the company’s internal IT systems. You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge on systems and potential suppliers to enable the effective running of the operations.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing capital and operational expenditure budgets with the aim of maximising return of investment and improving efficiency in the systems. You will be expected to ensure that processes and projects are implemented in a timely manner and whilst supporting the financial integrity of the operations.  In this position, you will be acting as catalyst for change and you will be responsible for promoting a culture that is open to new technologies and changes in operations. You will also be managing a small and dedicated team of internal professionals.

The role calls for a person with a strong technical background in IT and/or engineering. A business minded approach as well as experience in business re-engineering is important for this role.
