Catering Sales

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Catering Sales Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy engaging with clients, and have a passion for the catering industry. This role combines sales, client relations, and event coordination, ensuring our catering services meet and exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Sales:

  • Respond to and follow up on sales inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
  • Arrange and attend meetings with potential clients to understand their needs and concerns.
  • Conduct venue tours and menu tastings with clients to showcase our offerings.
  • Negotiate and close deals, manage complaints, and address objections.
  • Issue Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to all relevant departments to ensure seamless event execution.

Event Coordination:

  • Attend events to ensure operations run smoothly and client expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal event outcomes.
  • Solicit feedback from clients post-event and share insights with internal teams to continuously improve service quality.

Sales Support:

  • Assist the Sales team by arranging customer appointments and providing high-quality support materials.
  • Handle urgent communications, manage customer inquiries, update clients on delays, coordinate delivery dates, and schedule marketing events.
  • Enter and process orders, ensuring they meet customer specifications and guaranteeing timely and accurate delivery.

Administrative & Reporting:

  • Establish and maintain filing systems for sales records.
  • Generate sales reports and provide financial data to the Finance department.
  • Gather and analyze information to prepare detailed sales reports and data.

Marketing & Networking:

  • Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, fairs, trade events, and other marketing activities.
  • Build and maintain professional networks to enhance business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and prospects to drive business growth.

Requirements

  • Being a people's person and bale to work well in a team.
  • Must have a good attitude and good communication skills.
  • Sound IT skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential.

Education and Experience

  • Must be well-spoken in both English and Maltese.
  • Having a good knowledge of Events in general will be considered an asset.
  • Experience in a similar industry will be advantageous.
  • Recognised educational qualifications from either ITS, MCAST or the University of Malta.
  • Previous experience in sales, event coordination, or a related field within the catering or hospitality industry.
